Ilia (Eli) Kapelevich
Ph.D. Candidate in Economics
University of Florida
Welcome!
I am a Ph.D. candidate in Economics at the University of Florida, focusing on Applied Microeconomics with applications to education, labor economics, political economy, econometric methods, and industrial organization. My research interests are complemented by a diverse professional focus, including antitrust litigation, policy research, and causal inference. I successfully defended my doctoral dissertation at the University of Florida and am set to graduate in May 2025.
In addition to my dissertation research, I serve as an Economist at RedPeak Economics Consulting, a boutique consulting firm specializing in complex antitrust litigation cases. My caseload has focused primarily on agricultural and financial commodities.
Additionally, I serve as a graduate instructor for an upper-level Economics of Education course, which I designed and developed from scratch. The high quality of my course has been recognized by positive student feedback and the Lawrence Kenny Teaching Award.
I am actively seeking opportunities and available for interviews!
